Overview

Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1202, by Emerthelil Shankland. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow packed earth streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. The monster and outlaw focused fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se’s streets. In spite of this, quite a few people can be seen reading and the town has an abundance of libraries. It’s quite clear the community values education.

Cultural Notes

Religious leaders are influential in almost any community, but in Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se they make up the final authorities. It may be an explicit theocracy, with rule by the clerics of a particular faith, or a temple might be so important and powerful that the official leaders are helpless to resist its will. The locals can be expected to be loyal adherents to the faith, or else the less pious majority is deeply intimidated by the religion’s believers.

Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

In Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.

The Ooze, Amber near Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Ji̊ Qi̊vkāvāv Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves gestures to channel Illusion energies of tier 1 via oath swearing.
